'Jest' for Fitness & Food's team consists of 1 RN's (Registered Nurse who is a Fitness Nurse, and a former stand-up comedienne) and 1 RD (Registered Dietitian...but's she's not Really Dull)

What's Fitness Nursing?
A combination of the principles of fitness and the science of nursing. 
Fitness Nurses:  We help people follow their physician's recommendation to exercise without fear and embarrassment & with the knowledge of health and disease.™

What's a Certified Fitness Nurse©  A Certified Fitness Nurse is a licensed RN or LPN who has completed an approved Certified Fitness Nursing course.  The role of a Certified Fitness Nurse is to assist others who have medical concerns beyond just weight gain.  We know skinny ≠ healthy. We use the nursing process to access, diagnose (nursing dx), plan, implement and evaluate the needs of our clients through exercise. We will work with physicians and other health care providers (ie. post-physical therapy), possibly part of the patient care team, through the efficacy of exercise, to lower health related numbers, build stress resistance and elevate mood.  (weight loss, of course, is considered; but it is a pleasant 'by-product', not the main focus of our exercise programming)
